　　Wuhan Social Welfare College was established in June 1949. During past 50

years, great historical changes had been taken place in this college under

the warm care of the Party and Government and great support of all circles in

the society. Now it covers an area of 23 thousand square meters, a structual

area of 20 thousand square meters and 97 employees, the recreational bed has

been over 500. The main task of this college is to adopt the elders and

disablities of homeless, helpless and no living sources, and to provide the

service of medical healing and life care for those who are difficult for

their family to look after. The college has formed series of service

specialties on the main business of healthy elders living in senior

department, common diseases elders seeing special clinic, serious diseases

elders living in senior special ward and paralysis elders living in senior

special care section or functional healing section. Nowadays, the college has

become the living paradise of senior citizens.
